Retro or vintage?  I’m not sure I know the difference anymore!  But I do know what I like when I see it.  All of the wood furniture at HudsonGoods.com is vintage inspired so I thought it was only appropriate to photograph it with vintage accessories… or retro stuff!

So I picked up a few pieces that I thought were cool, some at the Brooklyn Flea Market and others on my travels.  A Sunbeam mixer, a Smith Corona typewriter and an old milk crate, it’s all fun.

Vintage Sunbeam Mixer, get baking!

I’m a little nervous about plugging it in.

Does anyone remember what this is?  Vintage Smith and Corona Typewriter

  1. Karl, those are some great vintage finds. Love that old typewriter. I’m a 90 wpm typist myself. :)

I love the Sunbeam mixer and have been looking for one for several years ever since I saw one used on an old HGTV show in someone’s kitchen sitting on the counter. She had used some kind of container with a plant in it and put it where the mixing bowl would sit. How neat would it look to use an old white strainer with an ivy or other plant in it with that retro mixer? Is it for sale and if so, how much? You can contact me at judy36109@yahoo.com.

Thanks for commenting on my blog. I’ve admired your work at my friend Rhoda’s blog (southernhospitality) for some time now .
