Rustic Wood Tables

I spotted this wood end table because it looked like it came from the side of a barn.  So of course I loved it immediately.  Raw, natural wood that’s been stripped of it’s original paint probably from years of being outside.

I’m glad no one felt compelled to slap a coat of paint or two on this wood end table.  I like it just the way it is.  The construction is primitive with cut outs and good old rusted nails, no tongue and groove going on here.  This rustic wood end table would contrast well with modern furnishings or be perfect for that down home country style.  This wood makes you want to just reach out and grab it, but watch out for splinters!

Repurposed Burlap Ottomans

Friday, October 16th, 2009

Click HERE to go to our on-line store at HudsonGoods.com.

Would you believe that these ottomans were once coffee bean bags?  One of a kind jute coffee bags have been repurposed by Gus Modern Furniture into really cool ottomans for everyday living.  I think the mix of texture with wood or leather furniture is a great style combination.

I love these ottomans for their uniqueness, natural fabrics and their repurposed life.  Each one reflects the actual logo and markings of the original coffee bean bag.  Where is Juan Valdez when you need him?

Vintage Toolboxes

Wednesday, October 7th, 2009

I will never claim to be Mr. Fix It but I do appreciate a nice toolbox when I see one.  These vintage wood toolboxes might have handles on them but I don’t think they were meant to be carried around.  Made of solid wood and metal these antique toolboxes were built to last.

Today many of these vintage toolboxes have been repurposed into coffee tables or accent tables.  I like the distressed paint and the small compartments are really great to hide stuff!  Check out these toolboxes and click HERE to view the VIDEO.
