An American flag wall painting goes vintage industrial. What better way to honor American heroes than to hang the American flag on Veterans Day. Hand painted in oil, this painting celebrates the stars and stripes and those that gave their lives serving it. This is no ordinary oil painting on canvas. Metal and tin salvaged from old buildings and barn roofs have been pieced together to create a unique canvas for painting. It comes fully equipped with cracks, dents and nail holes. Hang this painting indoors in the man cave or hang it outside on the back porch to enjoy all year long.
American Flag Wall Painting
Veterans Day is an official United States public holiday observed each year on November 11, to honor our military veterans or persons that have served in the United States Armed Forces. It was established to mark the end of World War I which formally ended on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918. It was originally called Armistice Day and was later renamed Veterans Day in 1954. The official spelling does not include an apostrophe before or after the last letter because it is not a day that belongs to veterans but a day for honoring all veterans. President Woodrow Wilson said it best on the first Armistice Day celebration.
To us in America the reflections of Armistice Day will be filled with solemn pride in the heroism of those who died in the country’s service, and with gratitude of the victory, both because of the thing from which it has freed us and because of the opportunity it has given America to show her sympathy with peace and justice in the councils of nations.
