Each year, Housing Works sponsors Design on a Dime, a gala event held at the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York City. The event features room vignettes decorated by over forty of the country’s top designers. All room furnishings are new merchandise that is donated and available for sale at charitable prices. All profits are used to provide housing for hundreds of homeless and low-income New Yorkers that are living with HIV and AIDS. This year, HudsonGoods.com is a proud sponsor donating home furnishings to the event.
Three of the room vignettes are represented by Ty Pennington for Sears, Jaclyn Smith for Kmart and Sarah Gray Miller for Country Living, launching a new line of home decor to replace Martha Stewart. Prices will range from $5 to $350.
The event was kicked off Thursday evening with celebrities, paparazzi and even the “Housewives of New York City.” It was a fun time with music, drinks and great home design.
