It doesn’t take much to make these do it yourself pendant lights. A vintage spool of yarn with a lighting kit that you can buy on line and you are good to go. Fortunately, we found these large vintage spools of thread but you can always purchase new ones. The hole is already there so just insert the light socket and wire. It’s that simple. Of course spraying fire retardant on the yarn helps prevent the heat of the bulb starting a fire. But other than these are simple do it yourself pendant lights.
Do It Yourself Pendant Lights
I am not usually one for do it yourself projects. The older I get the less I want to take the time to do them. It becomes a trade off of what other things I could be doing instead. Hopefully that doesn’t mean taking a nap. Although that can be very appealing. Do it yourself painting is usually not a problem. Do it yourself plumbing projects are. Do it yourself lawn care not a problem. Do it yourself electrical work yes. You get the picture. If I had to do things over in life it would probably be hiring a lot more professionals to do the project right and in half the time. I used to get satisfaction from doing a home project myself. Stepping back with great admiration and grabbing at the chance to tell friends or neighbors that I did it myself. But now I am too focused on how much my back hurts the next day. So for all you do it yourself enthusiasts this is a project that is simple and easy with a big impact. Now pull that switch.
