Double your pleasure and double your fun with this glass crystal chandelier. I’m not referring to Wrigley’s gum but instead the beauty of cut glass crystals in this chandelier. I like the taste of Wrigley’s gum but I would rather have this glass crystal chandelier hanging over my dining room table. Two chandeliers would definitely double my pleasure.
Glass Crystal Chandelier
A chandelier is defined as a decorative ceiling mounted light fixture. Crystal chandeliers have an array of crystal prisms that illuminate the room with refracted light. The chandelier may have eight light bulbs but the cut angles of each glass crystal refract light exponentially based on the number of crystals. You may have known this but do you know where the largest chandelier resides. The world’s largest crystal chandelier is made from Bohemian crystal and is located in the Dolmabahce Palace in Istanbul. It is hung in the Ceremonial Hall and was thought to be a gift from Queen Victoria in the 18th century. But recent discoveries uncovered a paid receipt showing that the glass crystal chandelier had been purchased for the palace. The chandelier has 750 light bulbs and weighs four and half tons. I can’t imagine changing all those bulbs but this chandelier is probably a good candidate for switching to LED. This chandelier may not have the size or the weight of the Bohemian crystal chandelier but it certainly has style. Made with teardrop shaped crystals that are hung on a vintage metal frame, this chandelier is tapered to create the effect of one large teardrop. And if you hang two of these chandeliers it’s double the style. Got crystal?
