If you’re thinking about flying to the south of France then this Monaco Grand Prix Printing might be the next best thing. Touring the glamorous French Riviera has always been on my bucket list. Unfortunately, I have to kick that bucket down the road. I’m just not ready to board the friendly skies yet. I may not get my James Bond moment in the south of France but I will gladly take this cool vintage painting. Racing up and down the narrow hillside of Cote d’ Azur and Monaco is definitely a James Bond move.
Monaco Grand Prix Printing
The Monaco Grand Prix is a Formula One motor race held each year on the Circuit de Monaco. It is considered one of the most prestigious auto races in the world since 1929. Add it to the Indianapolis 500 and the 24 Hours of Le Mans and you have the Triple Crown of Motorsport. I never knew that. Just like these paintings, the race is held on a narrow course laid out in the streets of Monaco. There are many changes in the elevation of the course along with tight corners and underground tunnels. It’s considered one of the most demanding tracks in Formula One racing. It’s also dangerous so the racing speeds are relatively slow compared to other major racing events. So who did win the Monaco Grand Prix of 1935? It was none other than Luigi Fagipoli, also known as the Abruzzi robber. That’s a story for another day. Luigi was an Italian racing driver and is still the oldest driver to win a race in Formula One. Its a checkered flag.
