I remember riding my bike to the local gas station with the good old gasoline can in hand. I think I probably paid about a dollar to fill it up and then I rode back home to mow the lawn.
I thought it was so cool to find these vintage gasoline cans that have been cleaned up for display in the home. Made of solid metal and tin these cans are sturdy and shiny, unlike the red plastic ones you see at Home Depot today. I always liked that smell at the gas pumps, mowing the lawn I would like to forget!
And check out HudsonGoods.com for galvanized steel vases and vintage home furnishings.

Pratt Petroleum, later known as Standard Oil
And of course Shell
I like the Shell logo
