Island: a piece of land surrounded by water. But not always.

This island is surrounded by friends and family sharing food, drinks and good times.

You might think that a kitchen island is for cutting, chopping and food preparation but not in my house. Our kitchen island is the center of attention without doing any work at all. Instead, the only thing our kitchen island does is rest drinks and appetizers for friends standing around it.

They say that the kitchen is the heart and soul of a home. And most likely, that kitchen has a wood and stone island that everyone gathers around. Whether you’re sitting down at the table or leaning on the kitchen island, somehow all gravitate towards that block of wood with a rock hard stone top.

So why travel to a remote island when you can have more fun at home right around your kitchen island.
