When is big too big? They don’t build homes like they used to! Well, here’s proof. Located in Rumson, New Jersey, what impressed me the most was the roof! Made of imported Italian slate, this roof comes with a serious 300 year warranty, sorry Timberline! But estimating that each piece of slate must weigh 10 to 15 pounds, how is this house still standing?
I couldn’t help wanting a closer look at this truly vintage roof and it impressed me more than the 10 bathrooms inside. So I chose to spend the majority of my time appreciating the great outdoors of this historic country estate built by one of the most prominent architects of the 20th century, H.T Lindeberg (who once served as assistant to the infamous Stanford White). Check out these amazing outdoor living spaces and why this home is called Sheep’s Run.
